Developed on a 20.2-hectare site in Figanières, the installation consists of 27,459 solar modules with an expected annual production of approximately 14 GWh. This corresponds to the yearly electricity consumption of around 6,500 residents and represents nearly 9% of the annual electricity demand of the Draguignan Urban Community. The project consists of three wind turbines with a total planned capacity of 12 MW. Delivered under a full-scope model, development, investment, EPC and long-term O&M, it strengthens our ability to design and orchestrate integrated energy ecosystems combining wind, solar, storage and other electrification solutions. As one of the first utility-scale, front-of-meter solar projects in the Walloon region, Gallée Energy proved that large-scale renewable deployment on brownfield land is both technically and commercially viable. The operational BESS delivers self-consumption optimisation, imbalance response and peak shaving, making this one of PerPetum's flagship hybrid energy assets. Delivered as an A-to-Z solution under an on-site Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), the project was structured to provide renewable electricity without upfront investment. PerPetum managed development, financing, EPC and long-term operation, enabling the site to integrate green electricity directly into its industrial processes. The installation reflects early adoption of on-site renewable generation within the quarry sector. Built on a sand and gravel extraction site, the installation enables approximately 50% of the site’s annual electricity consumption to be generated sustainably on-site. As Vattenfall’s first floating solar project, the installation demonstrates the viability of water-based PV in industrial environments. The project contributes directly to increased local energy autonomy and on-site renewable integration.
