Gebouwd met een innovatieve volledig houten structuur, is dit een van de grootste houten zonne-carports ter wereld, die hernieuwbare energieopwekking combineert met verbeterde bezoekerservaring. ### Projectoverzicht Pairi Daiza verwelkomt jaarlijks meer dan 2 miljoen bezoekers en wordt consequent gerangschikt onder de mooiste dierentuinen van Europa. Het park moest zijn hernieuwbare energie-infrastructuur opschalen zonder zijn wereldklasse esthetiek in gevaar te brengen, en wilde verder gaan dan simpelweg 'groen' door de ingebedde koolstof van de structuur zelf te minimaliseren. PerPetum leverde een oplossing die zowel een technische doorbraak als een architecturaal statement is. ### De Uitdaging Grootschalige hernieuwbare productie op locatie afstemmen op fluctuerende bezoekersgestuurde consumptie, terwijl EV-laden wordt geïntegreerd en het unieke architecturale karakter van het park behouden blijft. ### Onze Oplossing Een volledig geïntegreerd behind-the-meter systeem dat carport-zonne-energie, batterijopslag en EV-laden combineert, actief beheerd om aanbod, laadvraag en siteverbruik te synchroniseren. 40 MWp geïnstalleerd vermogen, met structurele CO₂-reductie, verbeterde on-site energieautonomie en schaalbare elektrificatie-infrastructuur, volledig uitgevoerd onder een Design – Build – Operate – Invest model. - Zonne-carportinstallatie van 19,9 MWp - Volledig houten draagstructuur van lokaal hout - 100x lagere koolstofvoetafdruk vs metaal/beton alternatieven - Meer dan 5.000 overdekte parkeerplaatsen voor bezoekers - Voorziet 100% van de dagactiviteiten van het park van stroom - Educatieve duurzaamheidsvitrine voor meer dan 2M jaarlijkse bezoekers Ontworpen, gefinancierd, gebouwd en geëxploiteerd door PerPetum, een model van samenhang in de strijd voor een schonere wereld. ### Projecthoogtepunten 19,9 MWp Totaal geïnstalleerd vermogen 22 GWh Jaarlijkse schone energieproductie 100× Lagere ingebedde koolstof 5.000+ Overdekte parkeerplaatsen 2M+ Jaarlijkse bezoekers geïnspireerd 100% Dagenergie park gedekt ### Resultaten en impact De installatie wekt jaarlijks ongeveer 22.000 MWh schone elektriciteit op, dekt 100% van de dagelijkse energiebehoeften van Pairi Daiza en bespaart jaarlijks ongeveer 9.800 ton CO₂. De innovatieve houten structuur is op zich een duurzaamheidsherkenningspunt geworden, wat aantoont dat hernieuwbare energie-infrastructuur zowel mooi als radicaal koolstofarm kan zijn. Meer dan 2 miljoen bezoekers per jaar ervaren het project uit eerste hand, waardoor het een van de meest zichtbare vitrines voor schone energie in Europa is.
