    VATTENFALL-NETTERDEN - PV Floating

    Project overview

At Netterden Zand & Grind in Gendringen (NL), a 1.2 MWp floating photovoltaic installation was developed for Vattenfall. Built on a sand and gravel extraction site, the installation enables approximately 50% of the site’s annual electricity consumption to be generated sustainably on-site. As Vattenfall’s first floating solar project, the installation demonstrates the viability of water-based PV in industrial environments. The project contributes directly to increased local energy autonomy and on-site renewable integration.

    The Challenge

Pioneering floating solar for Vattenfall on an extraction site lake.

    Our Solution

1.2 MWp floating solar generating half of the site's annual energy needs.
