Your key responsibilities

You are a highly motivated and skilled Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. You play a key role in the successful development and execution of solar projects. You lead and manage design and engineering services for commercial and utility scaled solar or solar + storage system projects. You are part of the Technology Department and you report to the Head of the Department.

More specifically:

Project Design and Development:

  • Design and review mechanical components of solar photovoltaic mounting solutions, including the selection of international suppliers, integration of solar panels, clamping solutions, carport foundation, floating anchoring and other mechanical components to ensure optimal performance and longevity of PerPetum Solar Plant.

System Analysis and Optimization:

  • Conduct thorough analyses of mechanical systems and components to optimize performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. If needed, utilize advanced modeling and simulation tools to predict system behavior and improve efficiency. Support external parties for structural stability studies (roof, carport, etc.).

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all mechanical engineering deliverables meet PerPetum quality standards and comply with relevant IEC norms, Eurocode, industry codes, standards, and regulations. Perform and follow-up rigorous testing and validation of mechanical systems (PoT, CPT’s, etc.).

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, Solar engineers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into overall project designs. Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to procure high-quality materials and components.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Provide ongoing technical support during the construction and commissioning phases of solar projects. Address and resolve mechanical engineering issues that arise on-site to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Innovation and Improvement:

  • Stay connected with latest advancements in solar technology and mechanical engineering practices. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and project outcomes.

Your skills, qualifications and competencies

  • You have a Master’s degree in Engineering (e.g. Construction or Electro-Mechanical);
  • You boast on ‘3-5 years in a similar role;
  • You are intrigued by the renewable energy sector in the broad sense (electricity, PV, battery storage, wind turbines);
  • You are an analytical thinker and you like out of the box solutions;
  • You communicate well with all stakeholders;

About the position

  • Title: Senior Project Manager (Belgium)
  • Reporting Line: you report directly to the Head of Construction
  • Location: HQ (Gent), but frequent travel to the project sites required

Your key responsabilities

PerPetum is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver mid to large-scale solar PV installations across multiple sites in Belgium. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing big and complex industrial projects, where multidisciplinary coordination is crucial. Experience in heavy industrial sites, is particularly valuable. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed within scope, on time, and within budget, while upholding PerPetum’s high standards of quality and safety.

More specifically:

  • Project Leadership: Oversee the delivery of mid to large-scale solar PV projects, managing multiple sites simultaneously;
  • Stakeholder Management: Coordinate all activities on assigned contracts, including site managers, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders;
  • Budget & Planning: Ensure that all projects are completed within the agreed scope, budget, and timeline;
  • HSE Compliance: Proactively manage Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements, conduct regular site inspections, and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation;
  • Reporting: Provide accurate and regular updates on project performance, including financial status and timeline adherence;
  • Meetings & Communication: Lead all project-related meetings from pre-start to completion, ensuring clear communication across all stakeholders;
  • Procurement: Manage the procurement of subcontractors, labor, and materials necessary for project delivery;
  • Technical Support: Provide technical input to support commercial activities, including contract reviews and feasibility assessments;
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks early and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution;
  • Testing & Commissioning: Oversee the testing and commissioning of the installations to ensure they meet all performance and safety standards;
  • Handover Management: Ensure a proper handoff of commissioned installations to the asset management and services team, ensuring all documentation and processes are in place for ongoing operations.

Your skills, qualifications and competencies

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field;
  • 10+ years of project management experience in the solar or renewable energy sector;
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale, complex industrial projects, particularly in heavy industrial sites;
  • Strong understanding of Solar PV layout design, energy production calculations, and familiarity with medium and high-voltage (MV and HV) systems;
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements and legislation;
  • Excellent communication abilities with the capacity to effectively manage and influence a wide range of stakeholders;
  • Experience working within the public sector and heavy industrial sites, including navigating permits, subsidies, and deliverables;
  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills;
  • Proficient in using ERP systems for budget follow-up and financial management in project execution;
  • Fluent in English, proficiency in Dutch and French is highly desirable;
  • VCA-VOL certified;
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management software.

Your key responsabilities

PerPetum is looking for an experienced International Key Account Manager to initiate and accelerate its growth in Belgium and France by hunting, securing and farming new customers. You attract and manage a group of important customers (Key Accounts) in order to achieve the designated sales targets through the implementation of appropriate strategies for these key accounts.

More specifically:

  • You have a strong affinity for our decarbonization-as-a-service offering, which helps companies reduce carbon emissions without significant upfront investments. You understand the challenges industries face in cutting emissions from their operations and energy use;
  • You identify and contact new prospects and build relationships, in order to secure new projects;
  • You develop trust relationships with a portfolio of customers (key accounts) to ensure a recurrent volume of business;
  • You acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements;
  • You expand relationships with customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives;
  • You act as point of contact between the customers and the internal support departments during the commercial phase;
  • You prepare and deliver offers in time and in line with the customers’ requirements in close collaboration with the development team;
  • You are able to identify and to understand the customer’s decision criteria and to optimise your offers according to these criteria;
  • You negotiate until you reach a positive decision from the customer;
  • You manage all the relations with the customers till the contract signature and the hand-over to the execution team; and you support the back-office team to invoice correctly the contract;

Your skills, qualifications and competencies

  • You hold minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Sales with a strong technical background or an Engineering degree with strong sales skills;
  • You are a native French speaker and you are fluent in English, both spoken and written;
  • You have minimum 10 years of experience working in sales or another commercial role, ideally in a technical environment;
  • You are able to operate autonomously and drive the business by continuously taking initiatives;
  • You are a team player;
  • A solid knowledge of renewable and decarbonization technologies in an industrial context is key;
  • You are used to dealing with external stakeholders and official instances;
  • You have experience in delivering client-focused solutions, by listing to the customers’ needs translating them to concrete solutions;
  • You boast excellent communication skills and are able to build relationships on all levels;

Your key responsabilities

PerPetum is seeking an experienced Development Manager to enhance its market position by ensuring the technical and commercial feasibility of multi-technology renewable energy projects. The ultimate goal is to progress prospects and opportunities to a viable "Good to Develop" status.

More specifically:

  • Be part of the Business Development team and report to the Chief Commercial Officer;
  • Work within a highly skilled team in a motivating and collaborative environment, with support from internal engineering and financial departments;
  • Collaborate with other Development Managers and Key Account Managers to address a variety of client needs, coordinating all technical, commercial, and feasibility aspects;
  • Manage the project throughout the entire project lifecycle (from initiation to financial close);
  • Provide recommendations and roadmaps for proposed solutions during the commercial and negotiation phases, delivering high-quality technical proposals;
  • Oversee the follow-up and feasibility assessment of multi-technology renewable energy projects, including land zoning, biodiversity, site surveys, geotechnical tests, indicative scoping and costing, grid scoping and costing, and drone topography;
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and legal requirements, including local zoning laws, environmental legislation, and energy regulations specific to renewable energy projects, with a strong focus on behind-the-meter solutions;
  • Possess an excellent understanding of local legislation concerning behind-the-meter assets;
  • Manage permitting processes and conduct financial viability checks in collaboration with the finance team;
  • Foster and maintain strong, respectful relationships with external stakeholders;
  • Oversee the department’s knowledge management center;
  • Focus primarily on Flanders, with potential for expansion the Netherlands. Occasional business travel is required.

Your skills, qualifications and competencies

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Economics;
  • Solid experience working in the renewable energy market, particularly in solar PV, batteries, e-mobility, onshore wind, and heat solutions;
  • Excellent knowledge of local legislation concerning behind-the-meter assets;
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage a project and guide different teams throughout the entire project lifecycle;
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration with external stakeholders;
  • Excellent project management skills, with significant experience in budgeting and cost analysis;
  • Experience in conducting multi-technology feasibility assessments, including land zoning, biodiversity, site surveys, and geotechnical analysis;

Your key responsabilities

PerPetum, operating in a B2B business, is seeking an experienced Strategic Marketing Manager to create long term marketing plans and launch go to market strategies for Belgium and the neighbouring countries (France, Germany and The Netherlands).   • Technical proficiency with digital marketing tools suitable for B2B customers and a solid understanding of the renewable energy sector are essential;
  • You are based at the headquarters in Ghent and are willing to travel occasionally to neighboring countries.
